Story
We are so blessed and thankful to be in community with all of you during this joyous time in our lives. Thank you for making the first few weeks of Baby Barnesky's life on earth so sweet! And for helping us make sure our first born, Alvin, does not go uncared for.
Special Notes
We are so looking forward to some delicious food, and eventually, company. Our home is pescatarian (no shellfish please!) and we are happy to enjoy takeout from the many wonderful restaurants in the area. We love salads, stews, soups, and many different ethnicities of cuisine. Mariel hates olives but otherwise has no dietary restrictions. Mariel especially enjoys eating glutinous meals (because when we cook together, we try to avoid them!) Naomi avoids potatoes, corn, wheat, and soy (like tofu and tempeh). No cross-contamination issues, a little bit is okay. If you're looking for a pasta substitute, Banza chickpea pasta is the best brand. Siete is good for Mexican style products. But seriously, please cook glutinous pasta (etc) for Mariel! Beyond Meat is our favorite meatless substitute because it is soy and gluten free. If you need help thinking of recipes or ideas, feel free to reach out to Naomi.
