Nourishing Nicole to Health

Sharon, MA

Story

June 2025: Coley is extremely grateful for all of the support, gifts, visits, and meals she and Jack have received in the past few weeks! Thank you all for being so generous with your time and support! We will continue to update the Give In Kind site to support her with meals or walks for Daisy, etc., though likely adjust it for her summer routine! Given the intensity of Coley’s chemo treatment, we wanted to share some guidelines for supporting her and Jack during this time. Some of these are hard and fast rules that must be followed to ensure Coley’s health as well as everyone’s safety, given the medication she will be on. Beginning June 9th and continuing through August 31st, please note: • If you would like to visit Coley, please ensure you connect with her or someone in her home before coming by to ensure she is up for visitors. • If you or someone in your home is sick, please do not visit until symptoms have fully resolved. • Please use hand sanitizer upon entering her home and use good hand hygiene while visiting. • Do not use Coley’s bathroom for any reason. • Please do not bring flowers or plants to her home, as these can carry bacteria and mold, which can be harmful to her while in treatment. • Please note, all of Coley’s laundry (including sheets, towels, and clothing) will be laundered apart from other laundry and should only be placed in the grey bin in her bathroom • If you do need to assist Nicole with any bathroom activities or help with her laundry, please use the disposable gloves located in her bathroom on the black cart. There will be instructions for how to properly clean items on the cart. • If you bring gifts, please know that she may be (even more) sensitive to smells. • She will be sensitive to hot/cold items, so room temperature items are best(so don’t bring the Crescent Ridge or iced coffee ☹). Additionally, though she is not on any dietary restrictions, her appetite and tolerance for foods may be altered. • If you have any questions or need anything clarified, please reach out! May 2025: Whether you know her as Nicole, Coley, Cheeks, or any other fun and fabulous nickname, one thing is constant for those who are a part of Nicole's world: she would do anything for the people she loves. Now it is time for us to give back to this beautiful human as she kicks colon cancer in the A**!! Please help us shower her with love and support!

Special Notes

Thankfully Coley does not have any dietary restrictions following surgery. But please remember she is gluten free, caffeine free, and even though she loves wings, her body hates moldy cheeses (Bleu cheese, I'm looking at you!).
