Hi friends and family of Kate & Nat DeRose Many of you know that Nat and Kate have been through more than their fair share over the past several years. Nat has been living with heart disease since before the pandemic and has endured multiple surgeries and stent procedures to keep him here with us and as healthy as possible. Shortly after, Kate was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer—and she has been an incredible fighter through every step of this journey. This past week has been especially difficult. Kate is currently recovering from pneumonia, and Nat—who went in for what was supposed to be a minor surgery—ended up experiencing chest pains and further complications. Despite her own health challenges, Kate had to leave his bedside to attend radiation treatment. They are both fighting so hard right now, and they could really use our help. We’ve started a Meal Train to support them with something simple but meaningful: warm meals and nourishment during a time when cooking is the last thing on their minds.
