Love for Louisa supports the Kvale family as they navigate Louisa’s cancer journey. Let’s rally around them and show them how loved they are! We want to make sure Louisa can focus on rest and recovery, as she has started an intense chemotherapy regimen for her sarcoma. Thankfully, her treatment can be done locally, but she does require hospitalization every two weeks. Like many kids, the Kvales are less-than-adventurous eaters, but we can keep these picky eaters well-fed! We will update this page as their needs change, because we all know that family activities don’t stop when Mom rests. Thank you for your support!
Special Notes
The Kvales are regular users of Walmart’s delivery service, so gift cards or simple, kid-friendly meals are the greatest help right now. Gas gift cards at Midway or Classic Corner are also useful, since multiple trips to Sanford and Mayo are needed. Please, no sick visitors or flowers, due to Louisa's weakened immune system; avoid scented gifts. Transportation for kids is appreciated during her hospitalizations, so please reach out if able to help with specific activities. Plan-ahead meals for the week may typically be delivered Sundays (with some exceptions) between 4:30 and 5:30 PM. Pizza is planned each Friday.
