Supporting the Berg Family

Story

In the afternoon on Friday, March 31st a large tornado swept through the countryside near Harper, IA. At around 4:10 pm it struck the home of Brandon and Jessica Berg. They were sheltered in the basement with their 3 children, Liam (7), Charlotte (5), and Miles (2), and their nephew Grayson at the time that the tornado tore through the home they had built together for their family. Thankfully no one was physically injured, but the home they have lived in for the past 7 years was irreversibly damaged.Beyond their home, their nearby farm also sustained a large hit with several damaged or destroyed buildings and pieces of farm equipment. We are so blessed that God watched over and protected their family during this devastating storm. Despite that, the wake of the tornado left many of their belongings damaged or strewn about the nearby fields. Many family, friends, and community members have asked how they can help the Berg family rebuild. First, we ask that you continuously surround the Bergs with love and prayer in the days ahead or consider a donation of your time or talent. Many have asked how financial donations can be made and those are also welcome, as there will likely be various costs involved throughout this long process. We will continue to provide updates here as necessary (please see the updates section). We thank you in advance and we know that the Berg family feels the love and support they have already received. May we all come together and help the Berg family heal and grow from this.
