As the new year begins, many of us have made resolutions and/or goals to achieve in 2024. Sometimes we’re blindsided by the unexpected, and with feelings of shock and sadness, I have set up this campaign on behalf of my dear friend Christina Jacobs, who was diagnosed with colon cancer on January 3rd, following several weeks of debilitating symptoms. Christina is a beautiful 45 year old momma of 2 daughters, Breanna and Grace, and an infant son Devon, who passed away due to complications from cystic fibrosis. Christina, her husband Kevin, and Grace live locally in Porter, ME and like the majority of us, are dependent on both their incomes to pay living expenses. Christina has been unable to work for a couple weeks due to the severity of her symptoms and has exhausted her paid time off through her employer. Christina and Kevin are beautiful souls who would give you the shirt off their backs and food from their refrigerator if you were in need and I want nothing more than to help them overcome the financial burden they are now facing. Your generous contributions will assist in covering medical and general living expenses as Christina goes through further medical testing and surgery followed by a long recovery with possible chemotherapy and/or radiation. Her road to recovery will be several months long, but with our kindness and generosity, we can help ease the financial burden the Jacobs family will be facing in the coming months.
