Our names are Ellen (Cunliffe) Dorazio & Lauren (McKinney) Faddish, and we have spent the last 25 years in a sisterhood with Kasey Lipinski (Kolton). If you know Kasey (also, widely known as “Kath”), you know she is strong, charismatic, optimistic and just so great to be around. She’s the ultimate girl mom to Libby (6 years old) and Evie (3 years old), a loving wife to Mike and the glue of her family unit. In late January, Kasey found a lump in her breast. In mid-February she had a mammogram followed by a biopsy. In early March, our lives were rocked when we learned that Kasey had breast cancer. She has a very challenging year ahead that includes 16 weeks of chemo (she’s already through ¼ of her treatments, and that’s a major accomplishment worth noting!), a double mastectomy and radiation. Her doctors are very optimistic that they will be able to get rid of all the cancer and she will lead a prosperous life once she gets through this battle. Many people have reached out to us directly asking how they can help. While any gesture is appreciated, sending gift cards to Kasey would be the most helpful at this time. Since her diagnosis, she has completely changed all of her household and beauty products to non-toxic/clean items. She is also eating very healthy by eliminating sugar and processed foods. The cost of these organic and clean items can add up, especially when doing a swap out of all things. Gift cards such as Amazon (where she orders a lot of Whole Foods), Target, Whole Foods, and Dunkin (a donut for the girlies!) would be very much appreciated.
