Round 2 - Helping the Lowndes' Family

Elkhorn, WI

Story

On November 21, 2019, I was treated in the ER for what was thought to be a simple procedure for some hemorrhaging. During the procedure, a large mass was found and a biopsy was taken. Ten hours later I was transferred to St Luke’s for another surgical procedure..... a bandaid is what they called it. We waited a week for results and on November 26, 2019, we found out the mass was Cancer. A plan was already in place to treat this fast and aggressively. There are several silver linings (some of you will know them quickly). Preliminary radiology has the oncologist very hopeful. ..... On June 11, 2020, a biopsy would confirm that my cancer had returned to the lymph nodes. We also found out that my kidneys are also in stage 3b failure. After weeks of testing and confirming, my cancer is back for round 2. Having done this once before, I know I need to rely on a tribe! I hope this page will allow us to help you know what we need and what can be done. We aren't looking for meals at this time, just items to help prep fo meals (see special notes below).
