In 2021 Linley Orr, was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML). CML is a type of cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow. In CML, the bone marrow produces too many abnormal white blood cells. These cells eventually crowd out healthy cells causing many complications. Linley’s treatment has involved medications to target the genetic mutation causing the disease. At this time Linley’s treatment team has determined that a bone marrow transplant is necessary to replace the cancerous cells with healthy stem cells. Facing cancer requires immense courage, resilience, and positivity. Linley has displayed this every day. As she transitions into the next phase of treatment, her family values your prayers. Linley will be admitted to the hospital on August 14, 2024, and is expected to undergo treatment for at least 30 days. During this time Casey and the kids will be traveling regularly.
