Friends I’m asking for help on behalf of my sister and her family . On Monday of this week her boyfriend Derick went in for knee pain. He was told the terrible news that it was most likely cancer causing the pain due to a growth on femur. After the confirmation from the MRI, they immediately made arrangements to see an oncologist at U Of M. On his way to Ann Arbor yesterday with his parents, he fell, broke his leg, making his pain and journey even worse. An ambulance took him the rest of the way to U of M where he will now recieve care from the great team there. With this comes so many obstacles for their family. My sister is currently at home making sure kids get to and from school and daycare and she is continuing to work to make sure they have money to pay bills. I would like to help offset costs of travel and food for a while scince Derick will be off work for an unforeseen amount of time.
