Story
Shelly has been diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. She is currently being treated by Alliance Cancer Specialists. At this time, Shelly has had 6 rounds of chemo and 11 of 17 rounds of immunotherapy infusions. The chemotherapy was making her very tired and nauseated. Shelly is working full time putting in very long days leading up to her chemo treatments. This allows her to have some time off after treatments when she feels especially sick from the chemotherapy. This is a safe place she can share her journey and we can help support Shelly, Michael and the girls.
Special Notes
Shelly had a double mastectomy Tuesday, June 18th. She will continue immunotherapy infusions every 3 weeks with the next one scheduled for Thursday, August 29th. She will also continue occupational therapy 2x per week to manage lymphedema and the development of axillary web syndrome in the right arm. She may need radiation treatments. The days and weeks following this surgery is when there is a need since Shelly is resting, recovering and not feeling well. Please reach out via text to Shelly for her address. 267-337-2363.
