Story
Dear Friends and Family, We want to share an update about our husband and father, Mike Sutton, who has recently been diagnosed with metastatic spine cancer, confirmed on September 11, 2024. Since then, he has faced a challenging decline in his health. After numerous tests and scans, we learned the cancer originated in his lungs. Mike is receiving excellent care at Fox Chase Cancer Center, where his oncologist and dedicated team are focused on managing his pain and ensuring his comfort. Due to the nature of the disease, he is currently at home in a hospital bed, where he spends some time each day working with physical therapy to stand and take a few steps. His wife, Terry, is by his side around the clock, and together they are surrounded by an incredible support system of family and friends. His daughters, Kate and Eileen, are working to navigate this difficult journey for their parents and support them in any way they can. We are truly grateful for the outpouring of love and offers to help during this time. To streamline visits and assistance, we have created a care calendar below that outlines the best days and times for visiting Mike. While Mike’s body may be facing challenges, his spirit and mind remain strong. And still makes plenty of smart-alecky remarks. Mike deeply appreciates the love and support; and frequently expresses his gratitude for each and every one of you. He would love to see you if you are interested in visiting. Thank you for being part of this journey with our family. It means the absolute world to us. With love, Terry, Kate, & Eileen
