Ally for April

Roscoe, IL

Story

April is a sweet young lady whose family’s world changed after she was diagnosed with EDS. Her family is doing everything they can to get her the best care and treatment, but with that comes a lot of extra work and not a lot of extra time- and they need our help. April’s mom Robin is looking for a part time helper to take care of the things she can’t always get done while trying to work from home, taking April to multiple appointments, provide daily care and also take care of her younger brother. While we wait for that right person to come along to help April and her family out, I thought we could all work together to help provide meals, errand running, entertainment and transportation for her brother Austin, and spread the word to help her find the best person to help out this family part time! Please take the time to look through the schedule and see how you can help! April’s words: “My diagnosis’s so far include (hyper-mobile type) Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, Gastroparesis, and Functional Neurological Disorder. My journey to diagnosis has been extremely long and exhausting. I’m still fighting this long journey, to get answers to unexplained symptoms. It has definitely not been easy, but I’m still fighting. “
