Lauryn was diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer February 2023. At the time it had metastasized to her lungs and liver. After 16+ rounds of chemo she was able to have extensive surgery to clear the remaining cancer in December 2023. May 2024 it was found to have come back in both lungs and liver. Chemo is restarting in the hopes the disease will respond allowing for additional interventions. All her treatments will occur at the University of Miami which will require a lot of travel back and forth.
