As many of you know, Samantha and Harvey opened their home to a child from the foster care system two years ago. Baby J was just six-months-old when they took her in. It has been their honor. Last week, a family court ruling found that Baby J can be safely returned to her birth mother. Samantha and Harvey have always understood that this was something that could happen. They are requesting that no one criticize Baby J's birth mother or her family. However, they are shattered by this loss. They had hoped that they would be able to adopt her.
