Story
Eleanor Joan came into the world at 5 lbs 11 oz on May 16! Thank you everyone for the love and support you’ve already shown our little family for four. Eleanor has diagnosed with hydrocephalus and spina bifida late in Shelby's pregnancy and will need lots of extra care from today on. We’ll spend a few weeks in the NICU and see where that leads us. These conditions have vast spectrums of outcomes and it’ll be a long road ahead for her and us. What we do know is she is loved beyond measure and we will take everything one day at a time to ensure she has the love, support, and access to medical help that she needs. We always appreciate prayers but please know that we might not respond immediately to focus on the now ever changing needs of our family. Know that your kindness doesn’t go unnoticed. 💛 She’s making progress day by day and we are awaiting future surgeries once she’s healed a bit more. We have finally have lodging, thank goodness for the Ronald McDonald house, but we are spending so much time back and forth any sort of Uber eats or food gift cards (even Starbucks) would be helpful. Please don’t anyone feel like they HAVE to. We appreciate all the love, prayers, and check ins we’ve received. 💛
