Support for Cindy Wilkerson & Family

Knoxville, TN

Story

On Saturday, September 28th, Cindy began to have symptoms of a heart attack. After taking her blood pressure a few different times we realized she needed to get to the hospital. Her readings continued to escalate. After many tests and scans, it was determined that Cindy had multiple blood clots in her lungs. A nitroglycerin patch was applied and blood thinners were pushed in through her IV. A few hours after the prognosis, Cindy had a medical emergency. Her blood pressure reached 199/113. She was rushed to the x-ray area where additional scans were completed. It was determined that the nitroglycerin patch had caused a reaction. Overnight, Cindy's blood pressure dropped too far and the medical team was able to stabilize her. The doctors are completing more tests to determine what medications will work best and check for other medical concerns that might be triggering her body's blood pressure spikes and drops. Cindy is a single mom with two teenage boys. Time off work and loss of pay will cause a financial burden that will be difficult for her and the boys. Please pray for them. Thank you, “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2 Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
