This was the latest update from Kailey regarding Joe. Due to the holiday weekend, dads chemo schedule is a little messed up and his 3rd round will be this upcoming Tuesday-Thursday! Today he had his pre-infusion bloodwork that came back showing that his CEA is down from 53 to 11.7 and bilirubin is down to a 2.39 which is almost back to the normal range! Each round is going to continue to get harder for him however we are thanking God every day that his body is responding so well to the treatment! Monday 9/13 he will have the ablation surgery at Northwestern! The machine was received and he will be the first patient ever to have this procedure done at Northwestern. For those of you who have been here since the beginning, you know that we have prayed for over 6 years for a cure and thanks to this new technology, the doctors at NW are very hopeful that this new procedure could tremendously improve or even potentially cure him. Please keep all of the doctors, nurses and medical equipment staff in your prayers while they hopefully are able to kill off all the tumors and remaining cancer cells in his bile duct.
