On December 8th, Tammy was taken to the hospital by ambulance believing that she was likely dehydrated from some sort of bug she thought she had been fighting for a couple of weeks. It was later that evening she received the preliminary diagnosis of having non small cell metastatic lung cancer which was later confirmed to be true with a biopsy of the mass in her lung. She has since undergone radiation for masses in her brain and her spine and is awaiting an appointment with medical oncologists to determine the next course of action. For those of you that know Tammy, she can be quite persistent and hardheaded, and it is not easy for her to ask for help. And while we are confident that she will give it her everything to get through this and be there for her kids and husband, she can use our help now more than ever.
