Story
About two months ago (August), Yolanda discovered a mass while conducting a self-breast exam. After further evaluation, she was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. Initially overwhelmed by shock and sadness, she gathered her strength and committed to fighting for both her physical and mental well-being. By speaking with a therapist and joining a support group, she believes her mental health will be stable. The battle for her physical health, however, is just beginning. With four cycles of chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation on the horizon, she has a significant journey ahead. But she is prepared for the challenge! Yolanda wants everyone to know how much she values your prayers, well-wishes, and support.
Special Notes
Visitors are certainly welcome; however, please remember that chemotherapy weakens the immune system, so wearing masks is essential. If you plan to support by bringing food, please avoid pork, beef, items with small seeds (such as sesame or strawberries), and anything spicy. If you wish to contribute items that are generally comforting for breast cancer patients, please check out Yolanda's wish list available on Amazon through this link. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/26MR3B21R3QMG?ref_=wl_share
