Dear Friends, We all love and appreciate the Kaufman family. As they face medical challenges together, we as a community can help support them through uncertainty and healing. Evan has a brain tumor called a meningioma and will have brain surgery on 9/24/19 for resection. He will have a prolonged recovery of at least 6 weeks. After he heals from the first surgery, he is facing a second neurosurgery for a second illness that was diagnosed simultaneously. The second neurosurgery (not yet scheduled) will treat a brain cavernous malformation, an abnormality of blood vessels. Please join me in praying for the Kaufman family during this time of surgery and healing. In addition, they would appreciate meals and other support from our community, so please join our sign up as listed below. Thank you for your care and love. Special Notes
***The children have a peanut allergy, so no peanuts or tree nuts. Also, no sesame and eggs (but food baked with eggs is fine, AKA cookies). These are kid allergies- not adult allergies. "We are label readers, so anytime we can know what brand you used for ingredients is helpful." Of note, Evan does love a good peanut butter dessert, so this is an adult option, just make sure that everyone is informed about ingredients. ***Please contact Kelly to arrange delivery the night before. (804)248-8265 or [email protected]. 345 Heron Lane ***For the first week. - Kelly and Evan will have family in town to help, so please anticipate preparing meals for 2-4 adults and 2 children for the first week. ***After the first week, please plan for 2-3 adults and 2 children. ***Below we are going to list some additional sign ups for frozen meals and kids' activities. ***They appreciate anything you love making. Both Kelly and Evan love all types of food. ***We listed a weekly frozen meal option to be used during the upcoming week. These are listed on Fridays, but can be scheduled any day of the week.
