Story
After a long wait and a couple almost opportunities, Mark has finally received a liver transplant that will save his life. Due to medications, Mark had cirrhosis of the liver with scarring and his numbers continued to dwindle. On October 4th, he received an answered prayer. Surgery went great! Liver has continued to produce good numbers and despite an infection step back to ICU, he is now ready to go home! The doctors at UAB have been absolutely phenomenal but there’s a lot of continued care Sharee will have to continue upon returning home. Many of you have asked how you can help, and here is your opportunity. Bring them a meal! For anyone interested, please provide a low sodium and low carb meal for them. Upon delivery, please know he needs low contact with others as his immune system is and will continue to be compromised. We cannot thank you all enough for the prayers and support you all have provided throughout this time!
