Story

The Brown family has a little battle on their hands... but their army is BIG! Taylor was recently diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia. This is a very rare bone marrow failure disorder, occurring in only 1-2 people per million each year. That’s 300-600 new cases across all age groups in the U.S. She has received countless blood and platelet transfusions. She received a bone marrow transplant from her sister Alexis. It is expected that Taylor will be in the hospital for awhile. Those of you who know Taylor, know that at her young age of 12, she’s a FIGHTER! And such a smart girl! She has taken on this sudden disease in stride. Let’s come together and fight with her! WAYS YOU CAN HELP: Please donate blood, if you can. Consider becoming a bone marrow donor, especially if you are between the ages of 18-44. Bethematch.com. Review the family gift cards/wish list options below.  You may also wish to assist the family through a financial donation on their venmo account: @Shannon-Brown-722. Stay tuned for the calendar/meal train if you would like to sign up to provide a dinner. There may also be times in the future when they need assistance watching the dogs, etc. This will be updated regularly. Jeff and Shannon will be using this portal to keep everyone informed about Taylor's progress along the way. Thank you all for your support.
