Liam's Heart Recovery

Loveland, CO

Story

On Tuesday, January 23rd Liam had unexpected emergency open heart surgery. His ascending aorta had dissected causing blood to flow into the heart cavity. The doctors at North Colorado Medical Center rushed into action to repair the damage and place a mechanical valve. It is truly a miracle that he is alive and well!! One week later, and his heart is ticking right along. If you ask politely he might even let you take a listen. He was able to come home to continue his recovery along side his dog, Jake, who he missed dearly every minute they were apart. As he has semi restricted mobility requiring someone to be with him all day, meals and visitors would be greatly appreciated. The love and support of others has helped him to this point and will continue to encourage him moving forward.
