Ruthie is a vibrant, outgoing, beautiful 11 year old. She’s the youngest of 3 children. Her parents are hands down the absolute best... and I’m not just saying that because they’re family. 😉 The Yeddo’s truly are wonderful people.  Mother’s Day weekend, Ruthie woke up with a bulge on her hip, they immediately went to urgent care and were then sent to the local hospital in town (upstate, NY) who in turn sent them to the The Children’s Hospital in Burlington, VT... and that’s when worlds began to turn...    On Monday, May 11, 2020, Ruthie was diagnosed with Pediatric Ewing Sarcoma. That first week she underwent lots of testing including biopsy of tumor, echo, MRI, CAT and PET scans.  On Friday May 22, 2020 - She returned to the Children’s Hospital in Burlington, VT to have a double port put in and to have bone marrow drawn off both hips. She then started her first couple (of 14) cycles of Chemo.  As of today, May 28, 2020 - they’re currently waiting on the bone marrow results and praying like there’s no tomorrow the cancer is not in the bones. Drs have advised this is a very aggressive cancer. And this is where we’re at today. We ultimately know that the good Lord above is in control and will help guide us all through this with strength, understanding, and love. 💕
