Meals for Molly (& family 😀)

Farmington Hills, MI

Story

As we all know, Molly was diagnosed with a brain tumor in February 2017. Fortunately, it is a meningioma and is benign. Unfortunately, it has spread into the bony structure of her right eye orbit and is wrapped around her occipital nerve. 😳😟 Molly has nicknamed it Henry... Because Henry is a pain in the ass and threatening the vision in her right eye, he is scheduled to be removed on October 29th. The doc’s plan is to remove the meningioma and a significant portion of her right eye orbit and then reconstruct it using bone and fat from elsewhere in her body. Surgery will take between 5 to 8 hours and is a little scary, but when it is over, Molly v2.0, will be as good as new! The purpose of this group page is to keep everyone up to date on how she is doing. There is nothing worse than not knowing what is going on so I will do my best to post regularly about what I know and what our expectations are. This is what we know as of mid-October... Molly will be hospitalized for up to 5 days and will be off work through the end of the year. Many of you have expressed interest in helping out where needed. Thank you, we really don’t know what we will need but it is comforting to know that you are all a fone call away! If you have any questions, please feel free to post them or IM me (Kevin) directly. Thanks, Kevin and Molly

Special Notes

There are no special requests, no allergies and they have not mentioned any foods that they do not like.  Meals should serve three and offer the possibility of leftovers. Thank you so much for your willingness to help out the Gray Famly. Kindly, Heather Ward  & Karen Piotrowski
