Karins lift recovery

Tacoma, WA

Story

Thank you so very much for stepping with us as we travel through this next chapter in our lives. Karin will be having a pelvic floor lift; this will involve a 5-step process during surgery. bladder, rectum and vaginal repair🤞😎. Lots happening resulting in 8-week recovery. I have been limited to a10lb limit in lifting for the last 10 months. This will extend to 2 weeks after surgery then an additional 20 lb. limit for a further 6 weeks. Best case scenario... Other guidelines include NO: pushing, vacuuming, sweeping, pulling, weeding. etc.. Basically, be very careful with the core and work on abdominal and pelvic strengthening and do NOT" Blow ", rip out causing additional surgery lengthening recovery, the stitches. Also keeping bowels carefully smooth so those stitches keeping the lower intestines and rectum in place are not ripped out. This means lots of walking with a friend, keeping up with diet and water intake also rest lots of rest. NO driving the first 10 days after surgery. There is a lot going that we need help with: meal prep with clean up or just meals., basic household chores, laundry, yard work, home organization, we are needing to clean house for appraisal (refi for needed home repair roof, pluming and electric). Not to mention a car as the commuter car is broken. Heavy duty yard clean up is needed as well. Life n ever happens one crisis at a time. Again, thank you for all your blessings as you choose to walk through with us in this journey.
