Full disclosure, I'm fairly blunt about my feelings (ie I curse 🙂 ). TLDW: Advocate for your health when you know something is wrong; don't accept that it's "normal" when you know it's not. As a single mom with a long-distance significant other and family that lives too far away to travel during a global pandemic, I am swallowing my pride and asking for and accepting help during this time. I have folks lined up to be Kelly-sitters for the first couple of post-surgery days, but I will gladly take any additional help offered. If I take it easy and rest, recovery should be a breeze.
