Story
On Tuesday, August 13, 2024, Jorge, who is self-employed, suffered a severe accident at work. He was rushed to the hospital in immense pain, and after undergoing CT scans and an MRI, it was revealed that he sustained multiple serious injuries: a fractured lower back (spine), a broken left heel requiring surgery, a brain bleed, and a sprained right foot. Jorge spent four days in the ICU and remains hospitalized at Medical City-Denton, approximately 35-40 minutes away from home. His wife, Belinda, and their two sons, Vincent (16) and Logan (almost 13), are doing their best to stay strong during this difficult time. Jorge’s surgery is currently on hold with a pending date of Wednesday August 28th due to the significant trauma and swelling. As a type 2 diabetic, his condition is further complicated, and the medical team is working diligently to regulate his blood sugar levels and other vital functions. This is an incredibly challenging time for the family, both emotionally and financially. Each day requires tremendous strength, but the burden is heavy. If you are able, we would be deeply grateful for any generosity and assistance. Your support can help ease the stress and worry by providing meal/grocery gift cards for the family and offering financial assistance to cover medical expenses, travel costs, and other unforeseen needs as Jorge recovers. We are overwhelmed by the love and support we have received so far. Thank you for standing by us in our time of need. We remain hopeful for Jorge’s recovery and are immensely grateful for your continued prayers and support.
