Story
As parents, one of our worst nightmares is receiving that dreaded phone call with news that our child has been injured. Sadly, our sweet friend Starria is currently living that nightmare. Her son, Hayden, was in an accident this past Saturday night and remains hospitalized due to the injuries he sustained. These are the moments no family is ever fully prepared for. To help ease the burden during this incredibly difficult time, a Meal Train has been organized for the McLaughlin family. If you’d like to show your support, there are two ways you can help: - Send a virtual food delivery gift card - Send a virtual grocery store gift card All gift cards sent through this portal are delivered straight to Starria’s email and can be used at their convenience. Grocery gift cards are especially helpful, allowing the family to get healthy snacks and essentials delivered straight to their hospital room -particularly important during extended hospital stays. Hayden's Current Condition: Initially, a CT scan showed a minor skull fracture and some bleeding. A few hours later, another scan revealed the bleeding had worsened, so he was admitted to the hospital. Thankfully, a follow-up scan yesterday morning showed no additional bleeding. While that is a relief, Hayden remains in significant pain—his head aches, his body is sore, and he has road rash nearly everywhere. The family is eager to return home, but they know recovery will take time. Together, we can make a difference for this sweet family. Thank you for being part of their tribe and showing them the love they need right now. Your kindness whether through a warm meal or a thoughtful gift card will mean the world to them during this challenging journey.
