When Elena heard that the children at the residential treatment center at Astor Services for Children and Families had been impacted BY COVID-19, restrictions her first thought - as a small retail brick and mortar store in real peril - was to donate toys herself from her inventory and cover the cost from her overnight vanishing profit margins. While we are moved by this gesture, the organizers of the page have donated to this effort so that Elena can provide a service, can get paid - and we get to still have the Land of Oz when this is over. While we appreciate the generosity from the community and beyond, we ask that all contributions go through this page only. The reason hinges on the safety of the children. There are many items they are not allowed to receive for reasons of safety. Elena has a working relationship with the staff of Astor and will be able to provide exactly what is fun - and safe.
