SFC Shavon Lee has been a dedicated member of the 451st CA BN for approximately three years and is the NCOIC of S1. SFC Lee has had an unwavering dedication to both her family and her service in the Army Reserve. She is always there to support her fellow soldiers in their personal and professional growth. Having embarked on her military career in 2007, SFC Lee quickly established herself as a committed Army Reserve member. Her role as an Active Guard Reserve (AGR) military mom added a layer of complexity to her life, as she balanced the demands of military service with the responsibilities of raising four boys. Approximately four months ago, SFC Lee's family received the somber news that her son, Kamdyn, required a new heart and was subsequently added to the heart transplant list. Her three youngest sons, including a set of twins, were born with an exceedingly rare heart condition that has had a profound impact on their lives. Despite the challenges, these resilient boys have not allowed their condition to dampen their zest for life, a fact attested to by those of us at the 451st Civil Affairs Battalion who had the pleasure of meeting these boys during family day.
