In early February, Paul had an appointment in which he had an echocardiogram where the doctor found a small tumor in his heart, called an atrial myxoma. The tumor is benign. It is attached to the inside of a valve in his heart. The doctor said that they hit the lottery finding the tumor. Most people don’t find it until it either breaks off and causes a stroke, or gets too big and causes heart failure. Paul surgery is scheduled for Monday, April 22nd at the Cleveland clinic. Mallory and Paul will be heading to Cleveland the week of April 15th for pre-surgery testing. The doctors believe he will be in the hospital for five days after surgery, and when released they will be spending some time at the nearby family lake house before coming home to Delaware. As of now, they believe they will be home the week of 29th. Please join us in pray for Paul and Mallory. ❤️ We know that God hears our prayers and will heal Paul in time.
