My sister, Melissa, is in need of a hip replacement surgery— badly! Finally everything has aligned and it is happening on August 3!!!  Over the years, I have watched her mobility decrease as the arthritis in her hip has made it excruciating to move around.  In the summers, we used to be able to go for hikes or down by the river with her boys, but her old hip has made that too painful for her. In fact, now, it is a challenge to go grocery shopping or other every day normal things. I’m so excited that she is able to get this surgery!  She will be off from work until at least Nov 3, 2020. She is a single mother of 3 children—1 adult daughter and 2 growing sons! Family and friends will be there to support her recovery, but we are hoping to take food prep and cooking off everyone’s plates (pun intended) :)  If you can assist with any meals, snacks or treats— we would appreciate it. She’d also love any and all encouragement and positive thoughts and prayers as she goes through surgery and the recovery process!
