On Thursday March, 7th 2024 our older sister Karissa was a victim of a terrible car accident landing her in the hospital. Her and her 3 young children are very lucky to be alive and God was looking after all of them. Karissa was the only one injured and has a long recovery ahead of her. After a 8hr surgery they have managed to fix her broken pelvis area in many locations. Currently she’s been in the hospital/rehab and will be there for at least another 2 weeks and is unable to work for over 8 months. Many people have asked how they could help her out as it’s been a very difficult week for her and family. We are putting together this meal train to hopefully help alleviate some stress and financial burden as they learn to navigate these next 6-8 months of juggling work for Charlie, taking care of the 3 kids and all that goes into a busy life all while Karissa heals and recovers. We are going to link Venmo for those that want to help donate financially and also have the calendar here for meals, gift cards and gas. Karissa is currently over an hour away from home so gas money would be a huge help as she wants to be able to see her husband and family during this time.
