Story
Our beloved friend and neighbor, Q, will soon be undergoing a necessary hysterectomy for her health. This surgery is a significant step in her healing journey, and while it is absolutely the right choice for her, the recovery process will be long and challenging. Q will need to take it easy for about 4 to 6 weeks after the procedure, during which time she won’t be able to lift anything heavy, do housework, or manage even basic errands like cooking or grocery shopping. She will need to rest as much as possible to allow her body to fully heal and avoid complications. That’s where we, her community, come in. This is a time for us to rally around Q and offer the kind of practical help that can make a real difference—bringing over meals, picking up groceries, running small errands, or simply checking in to make sure she’s comfortable and supported. Q has always been there for others with kindness and generosity, and now it’s our turn to return that love and care. Let’s come together to show her that she’s not alone and that she has a village behind her, every step of the way.
Special Notes
Please do not bring her any sort of melon or tapioca.
