Richard Gerety is a loving father and husband. He volunteers his time as a firefighter with the West Stanislaus Fire Department. He was deployed to the Caldor Fire strike team on August 18. On August 27th, he was badly burned while fighting the fire. He suffered significant burns to his arms, legs, and torso, including third degree burns on his hands. He will need to undergo skin graft surgeries and has a long road to recovery. His wife, Jennifer along with his 2 and a half year old son will be staying in a hotel near the hospital for the duration of his month + stay in the hospital. Jennifer will not have access to a kitchen to cook meals in, so she will need to dine out for all meals. We are looking to collect donations of gift cards for restaurants to help support her while she waits for her husband to recover.
