Supporting the Iannetta’s

Story

Over the past several months, my sister, Dana Iannetta and her husband Mil have been on quite an unexpected journey. In January, Dana randomly started having seizures. She was admitted to the hospital for several days with no clear understanding of why she started having them. She’s been evaluated by several specialists including neurology, rheumatology, hematology and most recently, a hydrocephalus specialist in Pittsburgh. After completing highly specific and sensitive testing, she was officially diagnosed with obstructive hydrocephalus caused by an arachnoid cyst. On 4/19/2024, she underwent an endoscopic third ventriculostomy (ETV) to release the pressure on her brain. I am ecstatic to report that the surgery was a success and her repeat imaging has already shown improvement! Dana will be off of work for at least a month while she is recovering from surgery. Dana loves to cook but might need a little help over the next few weeks. Any kind of contribution will be greatly appreciated! If you are unable to donate, please say a prayer for her and her family through her recovery ❤️‍🩹
