Evelyn Rose has been suffering from chronic ear infections. (6 in 8 months starting in November) Her PCP was not taking her condition seriously and she was denied twice for an ENT. Not until after a grievance was filed with the insurance, was she granted a referral. After seeing her her ENT (in may) it was evident that Evelyn needed care. She had developed moderate hearing loss in both ears, and after her sleep study (July 3rd) it revealed she stopped breathing 24 times in one nights sleep. Her doctor made the decision to have emergency surgery on Tuesday to remove tonsils, adenoids and have ear tubes put in. We will be doing everything to prepare for this trying time. Unfortunately this comes at a time when her brother (and she was supposed to be as well) starting school the same week. We need all of your prayers for Evelyn’s hearing to be restored, her surgery to go well, and no infections to occur. She will be having a lot of doctors appointments coming up in the following weeks.
