the seattle residency project is an introductory 6 month project to experiment with ideas of creative community to inform a future residency/think tank based out of Seattle, WA. It is currently housed within The Ravenna Collaboratory and incubationally affiliated with The Hillman City Collaboratory. Part of the program includes gathering once a week to facilitate community building among artists from different backgrounds with unique views who are interested in pushing the boundaries of their own practice as well as the conversations around them.    Pushing creativity, asking critical questions and navigating the challenges of being able to support your practice and feed your family is a lot. We want the artists in our residency to know that they are not doing it alone and there are people in the community supporting their important work. Thank you for loving the artists in such a practical way. Knowing that our Wednesday meals are being provided by local community members will help us face our work more courageously, feeling connected and cared for.
