My name is Michelle Valentino and I am Dave's sister. I also happen to be his next door neghbor. Recently, David was not feeling well, and he was taken by ambulance from Schroeder high school to Rochester General Hospital. He was diagnosed with Bacterial Pneumonia and he was not responding to the medications prescribed. After meeting with the Thoracic Surgeon today and several tests, he was told that the pleural fluid had collapsed his left lung. He will need a Thoracostomy, which entails three incisions in lung to drain the infected fluid. This will be a 4-6 week recovery. David and Suzanne have 4 young children at home. Lukas (6) Julian (2) Miles and Nathan (5 months). If you would like to offer support, we felt this was the best platform to do so.
