SAFE is a Central Texas nonprofit dedicating to stopping abuse for everyone. SAFE provides support to survivors and work to prevent further child abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault and sex trafficking, striving to stop the cycle of violence that can last for generations. During the COVID-19 pandemic, SAFE's Children’s Shelter, Family Shelter, Foster & Adopt program, Planet SAFE, Eloise House Sexual Assault Forensic Clinic, and many more programs remain open and continue working directly with victims and survivors. To thank them for continuously showing up and supporting our residents who have been impacted by violence, we are creating a community calendar so everyone in Austin can show the SAFE shelter staff how much they appreciate their work and dedication. You can send cookies or meals, get treats like fancy lotion or gift cards delivered, or just take homemade signs and cards... Anything to show this incredible staff how much they mean to us as a community. Other ideas include: -Tiff's Treats delivery -$1 cheeseburgers from the McDonald's dollar menu -Individual bags of chips -Fun drinks, like soda or bubbly water or coconut water -Homemade banners -Gift cards for HEB -Balloons -Starbucks Traveler coffee (one of those containers for groups) -Sandwiches -Pretty much anything chocolate!
