Support for Mason and family before and after open heart surgery

Trumansburg, NY

Story

Hi Everyone, As a lot of you may know Mason, Hayley's eldest kiddo is going through a tough time right now. When he was born he was born with a heart condition called Truncus arteriosus. It is a birth defect of the heart. It occurs when the blood vessel coming out of the heart in the developing baby fails to separate completely during development, leaving a connection between the aorta and pulmonary artery. (Described by CDC.gov) And now the time has come for another open heart surgery. It's planned for mid March and the last one he had was when he was just 4 years old. Things have been a bit rough for him as he's been receiving home IV injections twice daily of antibiotics to clear up an infection that occurred several weeks ago. It's been hard on the family and they could use a little love and extra support. Hayley is the best mom and such a wonderful giving person. It's not been easy on her or the family. And they still face a long road ahead. People have been asking how they can help and it's nice to be able to set up a page that allows you to do just that. I'm certainly not a whiz at setting things like this up on the internets so if you have any questions just PM me. Whatever you can do would be absolutely amazing and so appreciated. Feel free to sign up to deliver a meal, or send a gift card or just send her a message of love and encouragement. Mason is like my first born. I love him dearly and he hasn't had it easy. Thank you for anything and everything and please feel free to contact me with any questions via email or Facebook messenger. With love, Alice, Hayley's sister

Special Notes

Penelope has a nut allergy. We will have family staying here, and have asked for meals provided while we are away, to help with those pitching in to keep Penelope's routine as normal. We will add meals, as we know what will be best, and when we may be able to come home!
