Dear Friends and Family I have been on a journey. I moved up to Nevada City June 11th, to be grandma and take care of Weston and Sequoia while William and Rachael worked. Then June 24, I woke up with a sore throat, it got worse, and I ended up in the Grass Valley, CA ICU for 12 days (Total of 18 days in the hospital) I had a strep infection that went septic; all through my body and blew up my throat and I couldn't breathe. I had to be intubated for 4 days . I had to relearn how to hold up my head, breathe, swallow, and walk; I was being rebirthed. I came back to Marin. I am giving myself, rather the universe is demanding that I slow down and take care of myself. Self-care has not been my strong point but it needs to be now. I am taking this time as a self healing retreat. While I want to see people, I need to take this opportunity to do a deep meditation retreat so visits will need to be organized in advance. I feel blessed to have this opportunity to receive. Well my retreat lasted about a week then I got chills and a fever and my throat started to swell up again so I went into Kaiser ER and was admitted, july 19th. And they have been trying to find the source of the new infection. Problem has been all my test results were normal or negative. Doing lots of MRIs and CT scans to find an abcess. they decided there was an abcess in back of my neck so did surgery to cut back of throat to open and drain it. No results from biopsies all negative. I Came home aug 2 but on 2 more weeks of Antibiotics. Update - Sept 7th. Now off antibiotics for 3 weeks YEAH. body recovering slowly. Thank you everyone.
