As first responders, we often hear from community members who want to offer help or support. It’s not unusual for someone to drop by with donated meals or snacks. While our first responders truly appreciate this generosity, during this pandemic we are unable to accept any homemade or dropped off items. For those who want to support our crews who are responding to calls during scheduled shifts, one option is contributing a meal though a donation to give in kind. By purchasing gift cards, first responders can “grab and go” meals from nearby restaurants; you’ll be feeding those running emergency calls so they can continue helping those in need.
