Susie and Iris need support currently with meals and possibly errands and will need continuing support as Chuck recovers including those willing to come visit for a while to let Susie and Iris leave the house at times. Chuck suffered a heart attack on Monday Oct 28th during a family vacation in Pensacola Florida, thankfully we got him into the ER directly as his symptoms got Iris and Susie very worried. He was admitted to the hospital that day and had a Heart Cath done the next morning (Oct 29th). The test showed that his heart was very strong but has four major blockages including one in his left main coronary artery. This level of blockages requires a triple bypass surgery to fix his heart. Susie and Iris worked for days to try to get Chuck back to Athens, Ga for care and finally were successful but it required paying for the medical transfer out of pocket. Chuck was admitted directly to Piedmont Athens Regional on Friday Nov 1st. His surgery is scheduled for Tuesday Nov 5th and we are blessed that moving him back home didn't make him have to wait longer for the surgery. He is currently stable and we hope for a successful surgery.
