Gregory will be going in for neck surgery Tuesday June 11th at Cedar Sinai in Los Angeles. They will be going in through his throat to move the trachea & esophagus aside to get to the damaged goods & replace them as needed. If everything goes well he will only stay over night & he will be released on Wednesday June 12th & I will be driving him straight home. Recovery time is stated to be 4-6 weeks, he will be wearing a neck brace for sometime after the surgery. I will be staying the whole time with him acting as The Nurse In Charge, along with taking care of my daughter, my mom & myself. This is going to keep me on my toes for sure. This will be the 5th surgery we’ll have been through while being together 28 years. I’m reaching out for help as for now mainly in the beginning. We might need some things from the store, meals prepped for us, or even meal gift certs like postmates, grub hub anything like that or even restaurants that have to go & even fast food at this point & maybe like an instacart card, or Target shopping card to order groceries.Venmo would be nice as well. This humbles me very much to reach out in such a way, but I’ve been through this before & I’m going to need help. We do have some picky eaters in the house, so finding meals everyone will like isn’t the easiest. I personally will not eat steak, seafood or anything cooked on an open flame as I’m allergic. I will eat carne aside cooked on a flat surface & will eat a roast or stew. Greg is not a fan at all of Tomatoes, but will eat salsa, spaghetti sauce, pizza, he doesn’t like bell peppers either. My mother doesn’t like much cheese at all, she’s probably the pickiest. She likes down home cooking a lot. American favorites if you will. She will not eat bell peppers of any kind. Rayanna is trying the Vegetarian way of life & will not eat cheese unless on Pizza period, so she’s really trying not to eat meat very much at all. She will eat Carne sometimes & chicken as well. No cream sauce, no bell peppers, no milk (only in ice cream) no butter unless in a cake or sometimes other things. If you have any questions regarding the food allergies or like or dislikes go ahead and text me. I think I will have the housework under control along with laundry. Rayanna has her own car & job & I don’t have to worry about taking her to school, picking her up, errands or getting to work as soon as she actually starts, but that also means I’m going to be the only 1 to take care of him. This surgery experience will be different because I will have no help. We have a 2 story house. All the bedrooms are upstairs & the rest of the house is downstairs. I’m imagining I’ll be getting my steps plus in everyday. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for letting me actually ask for help & even if you can’t plz check in with us if I haven’t already with you. I will do my best to keep everyone informed & it will not be via social media. That’s a no no in case someone wanted to share a word or anything. He doesn’t like, nor does he need the extra attention while he’s recovering, thanks in advance for that. Private conversations are perfectly fine. If we know Woody we know that he’s got a lot of friends & I mean a lot. So if everyone knew about this he would never get any rest & that’s what he’s going to need. If there are other ideas you guys have in mind go ahead, feel free to do what you will. We love and appreciate all of your love & support. I might need a breather once in awhile, not sure how that’s going to work, but I’ll figure it out.
