Kindred Life LEG Dinners and Kindred Kids Volunteers for Cook County

Wheeling, IL

Story

Our 2021-22 Program Year has kicked off! Beginning in September, we will have the opportunity to serve our young moms, kids, and volunteer team/family with a meal before our LEG sessions. We also have a need to serve in our childcare called Kindred Kids where we also get the opportunity to empower our moms to advocate for their children because they know them best and give them space to learn from our LEG Night speakers! Both are so important and vital to our organization! We look forward to partnering with you to make for a memorable and life-giving year in the lives of these young and courageous families that we will have the privilege to love and serve! Let us know if you have any questions!

Special Notes

For Meals: Number of adults and children: 8 adults and 4 children but all extra food is given to our moms for the week! All food must be prepared in advance and brought to Our Saviour Evangelical Free Church (300 Schoenbeck Road, Wheeling) by 5:40 unless otherwise arranged in advance. Kindred Kids Volunteers: Please arrive by 6:35 if you are not planning to join us for the meal. You will have to go through a background check and training before volunteering. There will also be an opportunity on some Wednesdays to help out from 4:00-6:00pm for our mom's counseling times! Meal Providers or Kindred Kids Volunteers are always welcome to join us for our meal from 6:00-6:30. We want to share our stories as well as learn more about your stories.
